Video master class on knitting hats for winter:

A crocheted women's hat is not only a warm accessory. This is a fashionable attribute, without which it is impossible to create a complete image.

The variety of models of modern hats is so wide that everyone will find exactly the one that suits him. A crocheted hat will be the epitome of comfort and will highlight the taste of a fashionista.

Many girls prefer to knit their own hats. This way you can get an accessory for any outfit. And also get a cute set by knitting a scarf or fashionable gloves.

Before starting work, you need to take care of choosing a tool and yarn.

What yarn to choose for a hat

To make the hat truly comfortable, for an autumn hat you need to choose yarn with a wool content of at least 40%. A for a warm winter hat, the percentage of wool should be higher - 70%.

Important! Artificial additives in yarn, such as acrylic, extend its service life, prevent the formation of pills, and prevent bacteria from multiplying.

Synthetic threads, although they look thicker, do not protect against the cold and electrify the hair.

The color must be selected based on two criteria:

  • appearance features;
  • outerwear.

There are premium segment threads. This unique merino wool yarn. It costs a little more, but differs in that a thin knitted hat will warm better than a thick one. It is incredibly soft, wears well, and does not lose color or shape. Suitable for knitting children's clothes, as it does not prick and does not cause allergies.

How to choose a hook for work

A correctly chosen hook is the key to successful work. There are hook sizes from 1 to 15, the recommended number is indicated on the skein of yarn. If the pattern requires it, the hook may be a little thicker. A few more recommendations:

  • the hook should fit comfortably in your hand;
  • the handle should be smooth, without burrs;
  • the head should not be too sharp;
  • the beard should hold the thread well.

The length of the hook depends on the type of pattern; for a hat it is better to choose a standard one (up to 15 cm).

If the yarn is unpacked, then you can determine the size of the hook as follows: fold the thread in half, stretch it and place it in the groove of the hook. In a correctly selected hook, the thread fits completely, leaving no free space.

Crochet a women's hat

You can crochet almost any women's hats: both summer ones for the beach and warm winter ones.

Beanie hat for beginners

A beanie is a hat that does not have ties or elastic, but it stays well on the head. This type of headdress is knitted with a “stocking” and, due to its elongation, drapes well on the top of the head. Good for winter.

Advice. It is better not to take threads that are too thick; the ideal option is yarn with 50% wool content.

The yarn consumption for the product will be approximately 100 grams.

Symbols on the diagram:

  • ü O - air loop.
  • ü X - single crochet for the back half loop (RS).
  • ü - half single crochet behind the back half loop (PSBN).

In accordance with the description, the hat is knitted RLS in the transverse direction, where the number of stitches cast on is the height of the product (according to this pattern, 28 cm).

Description of work

  • Cast on 38 chain stitches + 1 lifting stitch.
  • In the second loop, tie 27 sc and 1 hdc.
  • Skip the first stitch, knit 28 sc.
  • Lifting loop, 29 SBN, 1 PSNB.
  • Skip the first loop, knit 30 sc.

Knitting in this way is also convenient because during the process you can try on the product and adjust its width. After finishing knitting, it is better not to cut the thread, but use it to sew the edges of the fabric. Then thread the end of the thread into the needle and pull the hole at the top.

If, in addition to the hat, you knit a snood scarf, you will get a fashionable, cozy set.

Hat with lapel

Lapel hats are popular because they suit any face shape. This winter hat can be made double, making it very warm.

For knitting you will need

  • 200 grams of yarn;
  • hook of the appropriate size;
  • needle with a wide eye;
  • scissors.

Scheme of work step by step

Knitting starts from the crown.

Knit an air loop into the sliding ring and knit 12 single crochet stitches inside it.
Holding the posts, tighten the ring and knit a connecting loop.
Make a rise of 3 air loops and knit 2 dc in each loop of the 1st row. Tie a connecting loop through the lifting post. There should be 24 columns.

In each even loop of the next row, knit 2 dc, in the odd one - one at a time. You should get 36 loops.

There is one dc in the first two loops, and 2 dc in the third. Another 12 loops should be added. To make 60 loops, 2 DCs need to be knitted in every fourth loop. In the next row, to increase, you need to knit 2 dcs in every fifth loop to make a total of 72.

The next 3 rows are knitted according to the same principle. And two double crochets are knitted into every 6, 7, 8 loops, respectively. The diameter of the circle should reach 16 cm.

In the 10th and each subsequent row, you need to knit one DC into each loop until the length of the entire product from the crown reaches 32 cm.

In the same way, you need to knit another part of the hat, since it must be double. Connect the parts by matching the tops and ends of the knitting. Knit a row of two threads with single crochets.

Warm hat with fluffy columns

This hat can be knitted either in one color or using several colors of thread. It is possible to knit a classic hat with a lapel or a fashionable beanie.

For knitting you will need:

  • 100 grams of yarn;

Sequence of work

Knit 10 sc into a slip stitch and tighten. Knit a connecting loop. Knit 4 chain stitches into the first loop and yarn over. Return to the previous loop, pull the thread through, repeat 4 times so that there are 8 threads on the hook. Knit them with a common stitch, in accordance with the diagrams.

The pattern diagram is shown below.

Skip one loop, knit a dc and one chain stitch. Yarn over before each stretch. Pull 4 more threads through the previous loop so that there are 8 threads on the hook again. Knit them with a common stitch.

As a result, the first row should consist of 10 lush columns.

In the second row, knit 5 chain stitches at the beginning of the row and make 2 chain stitches before each chain stitch. Due to this, the loops will be higher and the knitting will not be pulled together.

In the third row, after every two chain stitches, you need to add one loop to make a total of 15 stitches.

In the fourth row, the additional air loop will be after every third. In the fifth after every fourth, and in the sixth - after every fifth.

After knitting six rows, you need to measure the diameter, it should correspond to the volume of the head, divided by 3.14 minus 1–2 cm.

You can lengthen the fabric and knit a hat with a lapel, and if it is winter, then sew on a pompom made of natural fur.

Hat with patterns

This version of an autumn hat with a beautiful “shell” pattern is not difficult to knit.

Rubber

Knitting begins with an elastic band, for this you need to do the following.

Cast on 12 chain stitches + 1 rise stitch (it must be knitted at the end of each row).

Single crochet for the back half loop.

All subsequent rows are knitted like the second until the length of the ring matches the circumference of the head. After this, the ring must be closed by knitting the first and last rows together.

Pattern

To start knitting a pattern, you need to unfold the ring and perform the following steps.

Work a row of sc.
Knit according to the following pattern.

  • Skip 2 stitches and work 5 double crochets into the third stitch. Skip 2 loops, knit 1 single crochet and so on until the end of the row.
  • In the second row, knit similarly so that the shells are staggered.

  • Follow the pattern until row 17.
  • In the 18th row, knit 3 double crochets, skip two loops, knit sc.

  • Row 19: 2 dc, skip one loop, knit sc.

  • Row 20: Dc in each stitch. Connect each two with a common loop, thus halving the volume of the circle.

To finish knitting, thread the thread into the needle and pull off the top. The hat is ready.

If the hat needs to be insulated, you can sew a lining from thin fleece fabric.

New models autumn - winter 2018

The fashion for crocheted items is becoming stronger with each new season. Nowadays, various models of hats are relevant, of which a real fashionista should have a lot.

Important! A fashionable hat can be warm and practical, emphasizing the femininity and individuality of a girl.

This season, large knitted hats, thin openwork berets, and laconic small hats are popular.

Kubanka

Kubanka hat is a real trend of the season, which all fashionistas strive to acquire. Such headdresses were traditionally worn in the south of Russia, hence their name. Previously, such hats were made from natural mink or astrakhan fur, but now knitted models are in fashion.

For independent knitting, it is better to choose a voluminous pattern for the crown, and the bottom is knitted with regular double crochets in the round.

Cap

A crocheted cap is a headwear for women that has not gone out of style for many years.

Thanks to the visor, the image becomes more youthful and playful. There are many model options: a baseball cap with a large thick visor, a ladies' cloche with a small visor. Such a hat can be not only sporty, but also feminine.

Bell

A bell hat will add a special charm to a woman's look. It can be worn with a fur coat or a classic coat, decorated with a bow or flower. This hat will be a real find for girls who wear glasses and have difficulty choosing hats.

  • When knitting a headdress for a woman it is important to accurately calculate the diameter of the base and the length of the knitted fabric. To do this, you need to take measurements and make a simple calculation. To understand how many loops correspond to the distance in centimeters, you need to knit a small fragment of the pattern from the selected yarn in accordance with the diagrams. And then calculate the number of loops per centimeter.
  • During the knitting process, each hat must be measured., since all diagrams are approximate.
  • If the knitting goes in waves, it means the fabric is not dense enough. We'll have to disband and start over.
  • If half of the product is knitted, and the fitting showed that the size is slightly mismatched, then you can not unravel the knitting, but resort to a little trick. If the hat is too tight, then take the hook half a size larger, and if it’s too big, take half a size smaller.

To complete the work, do not forget about decorative elements. You can use embroidery, beads, and other decorative elements.

A stylish crocheted women's hat is a fashionable and practical accessory for any time of year. Properly matched to clothing, it will decorate the image of both a young girl and a mature woman. Today's master class offers several completely different models and detailed descriptions for them, so even craftswomen with little experience will be able to do this task.

Bright knitted hat with fur pompom

We will need:

  • yarn (100% natural wool, 68 meters per 50 grams) 4 skeins of light green and milk yarn;
  • white fluffy pompom made of faux or natural fur with a diameter of about 15 cm (we use
  • artificial pompom, 100% polyacrylic);
  • cr. No. 4.5 and No. 6.

Patterns:

  • Main (the number of stitches is a multiple of 6 + 1): we knit, following the pattern suggested below. We start with the point before the rapport, constantly repeat the rapport, and end with the point after the rapport. We carry out 1-18 rr. x 1, then constantly repeat 7-18 pp, paying attention to the alternation of light green and milky thread colors.
  • The fancy pattern is knitted in circular rows. each of which begins according to the scheme from the initial v. p. instead of the 1st p. and ends with 1 ss..
    1-3 pp.: with milk thread you need to tie 2 in. p.p., half-columns to the end of the row.
    4 r.: with a light green thread you need to tie 2 v. p.p., * 1 half-column, 1 p. s n. from the lower river (= 1 s.n., insert a cr. in front around the bottom row), 1 half-column, 1 s. from 2 n. from the previous r. (= 1 s. with 2 n., insert a cr. in front around the st. 2 r. below), 1 half-column, 1 s. from 3 n. from the lower river (= 1 s. with 3 n., introducing a cr. in front around the st. 3 r. below), 1 half-column, 1 s. from 4 n. from the lower river (= 1 p. from 4 n., introducing a cr. in front around the p. 4 p. below)*, from * to *.
    5 rubles: with a light green thread we make one additional st. p., s. without n.. Then we perform 1 circles. R. half-columns and s. without n. milk thread and 1 circle. R. half-columns and s. without n. light green thread. We constantly repeat from * to *, while inside the circles. R. half st., randomly distributed, perform s. s n, s. from 2 n. and s. from 3 n. from the lower river respectively.

The knitting density of the main pattern is 11.5 p. x 8 p. = 10 x 10 cm.

Scheme

Description

Using milky thread and crochet size 4.5 we make a chain of 60 chains. p., close it into a ring using ss.

For the plank you need to knit 6 circles. R. With. without n.. each of which we start from 1st century. p.p. and end with 1 ss. in the 1st s. without n. circles R..

To shape the product, use 17 circles. R. from the plank we knit every 5 and 6 stitches together = 50 stitches.

We continue to decrease in 21 p.: every 3 and 4 p. need to be knitted together = 30 p..

At 23 p.m. knit together every 2 and 3 p = 20 p..

After 25 laps. R. We cut off the thread from the strip, leaving a tail 30 cm long, with which we combine and tighten the remaining sts. All that remains is to tie the fur pompom and the women's knitted hat is ready!

Selection of schemes

Good afternoon, our topic today is this is KNITTING HATS... I will show you the most beautiful models of women's hats for the winter of 2016-2017 and tell you exactly how they are connected... In this article I will reveal to you general principle of knitting women's hats and berets(both crocheted and knitted). You can already about one photo to understand exactly how this hat is connected... and LEARN to figure out for yourself, without diagrams and descriptions, what needs to be done and in what order in order to ultimately knit exactly the same winter hat as in the photo.

Today we will knit...

  • caps on knitting needles (elongated and on the head)
  • knitted and crocheted beret hats (lush and not so lush)
  • women's turban hats (I'll show you one simple method using knitting needles)
  • knitted hats with brims and visors (I will tell you in detail how to make brims)
  • winter hats with graceful soft lapels
  • and dried woolen caps with designs like those of an English lady.

So, let's start knitting our autumn and winter hats.

Let's start with the simplest ones... and move on as the task becomes more complex.

Women's hats SIMPLE KNITTING...

(CAP cut)

The fastest way to knit a hat is when you just chose one simple pattern(rubber band, English elastic band, rice knitting)… And run almost the entire (or even all) part of the fabric in one pattern. Starting from the top of the head, we begin to decrease the loops in each row, and when there are 15-20 loops left on the knitting needles, we pull the thread through them and simply pull them together into one point-bun at the back of the head. The cap in the photo below is knitted using this principle - (25 rows of knitting the “rice” pattern... and 15 rows of purl stitches with decreasing stitches).

And in the same knitting with a “rice” pattern, it would be nice to knit a cozy snoody scarf (collar).

In such a RUNNING PATTERN (of the same type) you can knit it like dense a winter hat (fitting over the head)… And so loose spacious model of a knitted hat. You can decorate a woman's hat with one or two fur pom-poms.

Can be knitted HAT-CAP - as in the photo below . She looks best when it has a fairly wide (16-20 rows) elastic band. With a narrow elastic band, such a hat suits few people... as it visually cuts off the skull. A wide elastic band, on the contrary, visually elongates the oval of the face... opens the forehead and adds volume.

To knit any hat model exact knitting pattern in principle, it’s not needed... Since all the hats in the world are knitted according to the general principle. Below I give a general pattern for knitting caps....And just below I’ll give you a knitting pattern for all the berets.

GENERAL KNITTING PATTERN

for any caps.

These beanie hats can be knitted in a simple pattern WITHOUT A PATTERN... or in a RELIEF or LACERY pattern. Choose any knitting pattern on any website... and go ahead.

Step 1 – START KNITTING

First and we knit an elastic band (in 12-15 rows) and further ( without adding stitches on the knitting needles) we are already knitting a patterned fabric for the hat. We get a model similar to photo of the purple cap above.

Or after knitting the elastic we can add stitches on the knitting needles... and our canvas will begin to expand... and we will get a model of a cap that is lush in volume (like on the pink model from the photo above ).

An important rule for adding loops.

When adding loops when knitting a hat with a pattern only one thing matters – the total number of loops on the knitting needles should be DIVIDED BY THE REPORT of the pattern (by the number of loops that are repeated in the pattern pattern)…

For example, the report (repetition) of our pattern is equal to 8 loops... which means the total number of loops on the knitting needles should be divided by 8... For example, there should be 160... or 168... or 176 loops... (edge-edge loops do not count).

Step 2 – BASIC KNITTING.

Next, when the loops are added we begin to knit the pattern... repeating the reports...
We run the patterned fabric into 40 rows, if you want a regular hat size... (it also depends on the thickness of the threads) Trying it on your head... during the knitting process, you will understand when it’s enough to drive in a straight line and it’s time to narrow the fabric at the top of the head. (You can run this patterned fabric longer so that the cap is higher... or finish it earlier so that the cap flows around the head and does not stick out or hang down - it’s all to your taste)

Step 3 – COMPLETING THE HAT .

Then when our hat getting closer to the back of the head(or to the length you intended) ... we begin to close the loops 4 each (or 6...or 8 each) in each row - the more stitches you cast in a row, the faster your knitting will end. Since knitting is considered complete when there are 16-20 loops left on the knitting needles

An important rule is DECREASING stitches.

We know that there are fewer loops on the knitting needles if knit two loops together (as one)... But in order for the decrease in loops to be UNIFORM, you need to do this decrease in any and all places... and in certain sectors of the hat... (so that these decreasing places are at the same distance from each other). That is, we divide the entire circumference of the hat into sectors (like dividing a round cake into equal pieces with a knife)... sectors, usually an even number can be 6... or 8 or 10...

If you have a hat with a pattern(in which some kind of drawing-report is repeated) - then the drawing itself can be a sector... Then We make the decrease in a certain (your choice) place in the pattern– and so in each repeat of the pattern we knit two loops together as one.

This is what it looks like in the process sectoral decrease in loops when knitting any hat or beret... (it doesn’t matter whether you knit it on two knitting needles or on circular ones).

For example- we have 160 stitches on our knitting needles - and we have reached the top of our hat and we need to decrease. We decide to decrease evenly in 10 places in each row... This means we need to divide our hat into 10 sectors.

Then we divide 160 by 10 and we get the number 16... (that is, we mentally divide the hat into sectors - 16 loops in each sector). And that means further we...

In our first decreasing row We will knit stitches at the end of every 16 stitches two loops together(that is, we hook each 15th and 16th together and knit it as one)…

In the second decreasing row there are one less loops left in the sector (and we will already be hooking together every 14th + 15th loops in the row)….

In the third decreasing row– there are even fewer loops in each sector (and we will knit every 13th and 14th loop together).

That's it - now you can complete the knitting.

We collect these remaining loops onto a thread... we tighten the thread, collecting all the loops into a bundle and tying it into a knot (we hide the ends of the knot inside). We close the back seam of our hat... and you're done.

LOW coarse knit hat…

If you are knitting a cap on thick knitting needles and thick threads... then it is better to make it SMALL - ON THE HEAD... and wear it slightly tilted back (that is, without pushing it over the forehead).

The knitting principle is like this small LOW hat- exactly the same as for a high cap... It’s just that here the FRONTAL PART of the knitted fabric will not be so long... that is, we move on to the TOP PART with its loop-decreasing rows earlier.

Knitted hats - WITH EARS.

HAT WITH EARS No. 1 (dark gray in the photo below) You can KNIT the ears separately and then sew them to the desired place on a ready-made knitted hat.

HAT WITH EARS No. 2 (light gray in photo above) - we knit a hat in the form of a pipe - without decreasing the loops on the top of the head, and then simply close the loops and Sew the front and back of the hat together in a straight line. T o there is a flattened top of the pipe (and sewed this flattened edge)

And then the corners of this straight seam we turn them into ears. To do this, we make a seam with threads Diagonally cutting off this corner. We make a seam with thread, pierce through both layers (front and back) and not with a needle, but with a regular crochet hook we thread the thread back and forth. This way our corner will not be pulled over the head like the whole hat, but will stick out like a separate ear. And from the other corner of our flattened and sewn tube of the hat we make the same eyelet, in the same way.

Or such ears can be designed on a knitted hat with braids - with a lush relief pattern. This is easy to knit with your own hands.

Knitted HATS with knitting needles - WITH BRAIDS.

LARGE RELIEF KNITTING “BRAIDS” looks very beautiful on women’s hats

Moreover braids can be placed vertically(like the ash-pink hat from the photo below).

Or you can knit the hat longitudinally - not from the forehead to the crown, but along the side line (along the circumference of the head) - and then our braids will be be positioned horizontally from left to right - like on the gray hat from the photo below.

KNITTED HATS –

WITH LAPELS AND BRIMS.

Fashionable hats with brim- reminiscent of elegant hats - so feminine, ideal under an elegant coat with flirty gloves... Under loose curly hair

Sometimes the brim is knitted SEPARATELY and then sewn to the edge of a finished hat...

Sometimes, in order to give such fields the necessary rigidity, special blanks of felt fields are cut out... and inserted inside the fields folded in half (like a bookmark in a book). This is exactly what was done on the knitted hat in the photo below.

Try making the same brim (as in the photo above) on your hat - it’s easy to do it yourself...

Step 1 (preparatory)

First you knit a hat... Then you cut it out of felt a figure resembling a donut (a pancake with a hole)... the inner edge of the donut hole should be the same size as the circumference of your head and the edge of the hat.

Step 2 (knitting )

Then we will knit STRAIGHT on the knitting needles (rectangular fabric elastic band pattern).

To do this, we cast on such a number of loops... so that the future fabric is equal to the length of the OUTER circumference of a felt donut (can be measured with a centimeter or a school formula)...

The length of the fabric should be twice as wide as the thickness of the donut - in order to wrap it around the donut from the bottom and top (since the knitted brim of the hat goes both above and below)... That is, we knit the fabric and from time to time we try it on to the width of the cut out donut - we wrap the side of the donut from the bottom and top sides and see how many more rows are missing... knitting to the required length.

Step 3 (stitching )
When the canvas is knitted (that is, it has reached a sufficient width for wrapping and sewing a “donut-blank” into it), we are on our canvas close the loops... remove it from the knitting needle.

We wrap our felt bagel with knitted fabric... like this so that the fold of the canvas is along the OUTER edge donut... and the connecting seam of the double fabric ran along the inner edge of the donut, the fields were... (that is, we immediately wrapped and sewed the halves of our fabric along the inner edge of the donut)

And then along the edge of the same seam We add our ready-made fields to the finished header. That's all. You can now crochet a beautiful lush flower and add it to the side of your hat.

Another way to make a brim on a knitted hat.

And in the fashionable model of a light beige cap (with the photo below) - the brim forms by itself when folded in half knitted classic rib (one knit, one purl). it's easy to do it yourself.

That is, we knit an elastic band for a hat twice as long what the fields should be... and then bend it in half. We slightly stretch the bend in breadth with our hands so that it sticks out like a visor.

Sometimes a fishing line is inserted into such a protruding bend of the elastic band- this is done so that the edges of the brim do not wrinkle from wear, but always remain smooth and elastic.

Sometimes a corset tape is placed inside the bend - for rigidity(that tape that is used to hem the trousers at the bottom) - and with sewing threads (tone on tone) it is carefully and imperceptibly sewn with through stitches through the edge of the fields.

And here is a hat with a WIDE brim .

Here the lapel is knitted in the shape of a bell... which has two sides (inner - light, and outer - dark). Now we will do it ourselves.

Such a cap you need to knit starting from the back of the head... that is, from top to bottom (since it will be convenient to adjust the scope of the fields... and if something happens, it will be convenient to unravel them and knit them again...

A simple knitting pattern for this WIDE TWO-COLOR BRIMMED HAT...

  1. To knit this black hat with white brim, we start from the top... we simply knit a straight fabric (or a straight tube, if on circular knitting needles)... The fabric of this tube should be so long that it covers the head from the top of the head to the forehead.
  2. We switch to white threads - and we are expanding sharply fabric from the edge of the forehead (adding loops in each row). A bell-like shape is formed (we reach the very edge of the brim - try it on in front of the mirror to decide whether this brim width is enough for us). We knitted the white side of the brim (the one visible in the photo).
  3. We change the threads to black ones and knit the NARROW in the opposite direction (reducing the same number of loops in each row as we added before). ... this will be the reverse side of the brim lapel (dark) which is not visible, hidden-turned away in the photograph.
  4. The result is a design in the form of... first a narrow black pipe.... then an expanding white part... and then a tapering black part.
  5. At the widest point of the canvas(where the white turns into black again) we fold the fabric in half (we folded the brim of the hat in half... And we sew this fold together and fasten it with threads - we fix this double brim sandwich.
  6. And then all that remains is sew the top crown seam of the hat - fold it into an envelope as seen in the photo and secure with threads... and (if we did not knit on circular knitting needles) make the back seam of the hat.

Note – if you are knitting such a hat from thick, dense threads, then the brim does not need to be DOUBLE - they will still turn out dense and stick up .

(If I suddenly explained it incomprehensibly – write in the comments, I’ll explain in more detail and even draw... and maybe even count the number of rows and loops in a row).

Knitted hat with a crochet brim.

And here is a MULTI-COLORED hat, which is crocheted. Crocheting brims is generally easy. There is no need to be clever here - just drive the columns in a circle, sharply increasing their number in the fields.

And then, at the very edge of the brim (on the last rows), you need to slightly reduce the number of columns so that the cap itself asks for a neat fold upward.

KNITTED HATS –

WITH SOFT CUTS.

The brim of a knitted hat can be soft and just TURN TO THE HAT... then we have a graceful lapel on a knitted cap.

Here in the photo below we see an example of how a SINGLE SIDE LAPEL is made.
I think everyone understands exactly how it was made.

Knits first top crown of the hat...And then we knit the lapel part itself as a separate long sheet on knitting needles (similar to a scarf). The pattern is the same - we knit both on the front and back sides all the time only knit loops... we get a ribbed pattern (it is thanks to this ribbing of the pattern that our fields keep their shape well).

Buttonholes are not necessary– we simply sew the edges of the fabric overlapping each other... and sew on buttons for decoration.

Here's the front flap . The hat is knitted on two needles (without elastic) so that the fabric itself wraps itself with a beautiful roll up. The pattern looks like RICE...

And here is the lapel, which is uniform around the entire circumference of the cap. It is decorated with a neat flower.

The hat with lapels is made of soft angora.

And here is another fashionable hat - in it we see a non-standard circular knitting - and the direction of the knitted fabric goes across - this made it possible to come up with such beautiful lapel fields.

Here the knitting direction is HORIZONTAL (and apparently trapezoidal)... which is then sewn into a hat (if suddenly something extra is knitted together), you can always correct it with scissors (roughly) and cover the cut with threads.

To be sure, we can first do trial mock-up of a hat from a piece of an old sheet(to guess its shape) ... then knit the fabric according to the shape of the layout ... and fold such a hat.

And even better.... knit such a hat ONE SIZE BIGGER... and therefore REDUCE-FALL it (like a felt boot) in hot water (40 degrees) in the washing machine... The knitting will immediately thicken greatly - the hat will become denser and one size smaller.

I’ll tell you MORE ABOUT THE RULES OF FELING right now using the example of the following two hats.

KNITTED HATS WITH CUTS - dried.

See what fashionable dried hats can be knitted... and felted in the washing machine.

They knit first larger than necessary. Then they are washed in hot water and the wool shrinks reduced by 30% and the hat becomes dense and warm, as if made from soft felt fabric.

Let me say in advance that both hats, gray and pink, are knitted according to the same instructions - they are the same model, they just have a little different hand-draping of the brim (using hat pins).

Detailed descriptions of the dumped hats from the photo above.

(gray and red cap).

Characteristics of the material and product.

200 g yarn Wash+Filz-it! Fine

(100% wool, 50 g\100 meters No. 00120

circular needles No. 5, double needles No. 5
Buckle + pin, brooch, buttons (for finishing hat brims).

Product size before felting: head circumference 70 cm, height 26.5 cm.

Product size after felting: head circumference 54, height 20 cm.

Before starting work- you should knit a sample from purchased yarn - mark a 10 by 10 cm square on it with a bright thread. Then felt this sample in the washing machine and check how it shrinks.

According to the declared yarn— the knitting density before and after felting should coincide with the following:

Knitting density before felting: 10 x 10 cm = 16 loops and 22 rows

Knitting density after felting: 10 x 10 cm = 20 loops 29 rows

And if your data is different (and this may be due to a different yarn, too tight knitting, or, conversely, your habit of knitting loosely and sweepingly), then you need to cast on a slightly different number of stitches on the knitting needles. Depending on how different your prototype is from the one presented above.

In order not to look closely at the fine print and encrypted abbreviations, I decided to write down step by step and in rows the whole knitting process and header assembly.

STEP 1 – knit the main part of the hat brim.

We start knitting from the margins - that is, we cast on 124 loops on circular knitting needles and knit circular rows using stockinette stitch. 20 rows in a circle. And we get the straight part of the brim (gray shading on the brim pattern). And all we have to do is knit that part of the fields, which will be an elongated triangular shape on the pattern from the diagram below.

STEP 2 – start changing the shape of the fields

(narrow on one side and wide on the other side).

At a height of 9 cm (= after 20 circular rows) we knit short rows- every second row we will decrease by 10 loops. This is necessary so that our fields will be different in level - on the one hand, our field will be wider (there will be more rows), and on the other hand, our hat field will be narrow (in the place where we reduced every second row by 10 loops). Now you will learn how this is done and understand what it will look like.

I decided write each row, which you are knitting - so that you can knit without bothering your brain by strictly repeating the steps described below.

So, at a height of 9 cm (after 20 circular rows) we knit short rows as follows.

We have 124 stitches on our knitting needles. We start knitting 21st round row but we do not knit this row to the end, but to the last 10 stitches of the row(that is, we do not knit all 124 loops that are on the knitting needles, but only 114 knit stitches) , after which we stop and we need to turn the work backwards (so that the wrong side of the knitting is already looking at us) and we can knit in the opposite direction of the circle.

And in this opposite direction we do 1 yarn over on the right needle And knit the 22nd rowthese same ones, reduced in number of 114 loops, but purl stitch. We knitted this amount to the end and unfolded our knitting again to the front side to knit the next 23rd row. This is what it looks like in the drawing (I hope I drew it clearly).

On this front side we knit 23rd front row– but we also don’t knit all 114 loops – we turn the knitting again before reaching 10 loops to the end. That is, in the 23rd row we must knit 104 knit stitches. And turn to the wrong side - to knit on it 24th row – 104 purl loops (before each purl row, do not forget to make 1 yarn over on the right needle). And we turn around again to the front side.

25th row we also do not knit 10 loops to the end - but stop at the knitted ones 94 knit stitches– and turn to the wrong side. Where we already knit Row 26 – purl 94 stitches. And we turn again to the front side.

This 27th row We also do not knit up to 10 purl loops - that is, we only knit 84 knit stitches. Turn the knitting inside out and knit Purl row 28 – 84 stitches. And again we turn to the front side.

This 29th row we further reduce by 10 loops - that is, we only knit 74 knit stitches, and unfold the knitting to the reverse wrong side, and knit Row 30 – purl 74 stitches. We return to the front.

This 31 row– we again reduce by 10 loops – that is, we only knit 64 knit stitches. Turn inside out - knit Row 32 – purl 64 stitches. We return to the front side.

This 33 row 54 knit stitches 34th row - 54 purl loops. Unfold it to the front side.

This Row 35– we again reduce the knitting by 10 loops – we knit only 44 knit stitches. Turn inside out and knit 36th row - 44 purl loops. We return to the front side.

This 37 row– we again reduce the knitting by 10 loops – we knit only 34 knit stitches. Turn inside out and knit Row 38 – purl 34 stitches. Turn to the front side.

This Row 39– we reduce the knitting by 10 loops for the last time – we only knit 24 knit stitches. Turn inside out and knit Row 40 – purl 24 stitches. And after that, we unfold the knitting for the last time with the front side facing us. This was the last short row. We returned to the front side.

And now we can continue our regular circular knitting- together with all 124 stitches in a row.

STEP 3 – knit the main dome of the hat.

So, we have 124 loops on the knitting needles, the already knitted fields are hanging from the knitting needles (on one side of the circle the fields are wider 40 rows high, on the other hand, narrower 21 rows high.). Now we will knit the hat itself - the part that is pulled over the head.

The first thing we need to do is seal the transition from the brim to the dome of the cap. To do this, we knit each loop together with a yarn over.

Here is one way to close the loops - using a hook.

So, we closed 12 loops - and that means we have 112 loops left on the knitting needles. From these we will knit the dome of the hat.

We transfer these loops from circular knitting needles for 4 double needles- 28 loops on each of the four knitting needles. And we knit in a circle 30 front rows up. (Our knitting rises another 13.5 cm (excluding margins).

Now we stopped and marked every 14th loop on our knitting (you can thread red ribbons between every 14th loop). We will need these marks (there will be 8 of them) to correctly reduce the cap (narrow the dome).

We noted that in the next circular row we knit every 14th loop together with the previous one (that is, we knit 13 and 14 together). As a result, we were left with 104 loops on the knitting needles.

Next we knit like this.
In every 4th row we repeat the decrease(we knit the loop marked with a ribbon together with the previous loop). Let's do this 3 times. (That is, 3 rows are simple, 4 we decrease - 3 rows are simple, 4 we decrease and another 3 rows we simply decrease 4 - three such passes). As a result we have left There are 80 stitches on the needles.

Now let's turn it down more.

In every 2nd row we make the same decrease (in the same places marked with red ribbon). Repeat 6 times. That is, we alternate 12 rows: one simple + one decreasing. As a result we have There are 32 stitches left on the needles.

And now we come to the end of the mating.

Three rows We do decreases in a row - in each row. In the same places marked with ribbon. And on the knitting needles we have 8 loops left.

We finish knitting: cut the thread, pull the tail of the thread through these last 8 loops. and tighten it tightly. We secure the end of the thread in the body of the hat (using a crochet hook).

STEP 4 – felting the hat

in the washing machine

+ forming its final form.

And here is a detailed description of how such hats knitted from wool can be WASHED IN THE WASHING MACHINE...

  1. Place the header into a laundry bag.
  2. We put it in the washing machine washing powder for colored laundry. There is NO NEED to add fabric softener or detergent for wool.
  3. Choose mode - delicate wash(it has a large supply of water - that’s what we need). The cycle for washing wool is NOT NECESSARY.
  4. Setting the temperature 40 degrees.
  5. Best together with a hat in the typewriter stick something rough(like jeans or a towel) - to create additional friction.
  6. We start the wash - as a result of which the product will shrink by 1\3 (that is, by 30%) After that, we take it out - squeeze it out and PULL and STRETCH it wet to the size of her head... (so that she remembers this shape)...
  7. and then we put it on the BLANK where it will dry. It is, of course, understandable that you don’t have hat blanks in your household - n oh can you find a replacement for her- for example, put a suitable size children's ball or a three-liter jar (to increase the size of the jar, you can wrap it in several layers of newspaper, secure it with tape and put on a bag for cleanliness) - put on a hat and leave it like that until it dries completely.
  8. After you have pulled the hat onto the blank, you must level its brim - pull the brim so that on one side they are 9 cm, and on the other 15 cm.
  9. AND UNTIL THE HAT IS DRY, let's style it. .

This is where photography can help you. We approach the mirror and try to lay out the fields as shown in the photo. The instructions say this:

Styling for a gray hat: Align the margins (9 cm and 15 cm). Fold the brim up (both the short and long sides. Take the edge of the short brim turned up and turn its half down. Pin this place with a hat pin (buckle + stick).

The knitted hat has long been a fashion accessory. A playful pompom or other decorative elements make it not just functional, but also a very beautiful wardrobe item. Cool hats lift your spirits and fit perfectly into any color scheme. They go well with a leather jacket and an elegant coat, you just need to master crocheting a hat and learn a few simple patterns.

How to crochet hats correctly

Crochet baby hats for boys and girls

You've probably seen children walking around in bright, funny hats. Funny ears and faces of animals can be crocheted. First you need to take measurements, as shown in the diagram.

Basic knitting pattern for a baby hat

You will need:

  • 80-100 grams of acrylic yarn (30 g pink and 60 g gray);
  • some white and black yarn for decoration;
  • hook number 4.

Operating procedure:

  • start knitting with gray (pink) threads, starting from the crown;
  • form a ring and tie it with a half-column to form a circle;
  • continue working and form the bottom of the hat in this way;
  • when the bottom is ready, continue knitting with gray threads, but do not add loops to form a circle;
  • knit half of the hat and switch to pink (gray) threads;
  • continue working until the full size and fasten the thread from the wrong side;
  • mark a place for long ears, fasten the pink thread and knit with a simple half-stitch of 4-5 cm;
  • continue knitting the fabric until the ear length is sufficient (the knitting order according to the pattern can be changed if you want a longer ear length);
  • tie the symmetrical ear on the other side;

Crochet warm hats for women with patterns

Classic berets never go out of style. They are sophisticated and elegant and loved by women of all ages.

For the beret you will need:

  • mohair with a small inclusion of synthetic fibers - 90 g;
  • hook number 4.

Work order according to the scheme:

  • tie a chain of 8 loops and close it in a circle;
  • start knitting in the round with a regular stitch so that you get a round bottom of the beret;
  • add loops until you reach the desired diameter;
  • knit several rows without adding loops - this way you will create a transition and the desired crease line in the beret;
  • continue knitting with decreasing stitches according to the same pattern until you reach the desired diameter of the head;
  • knit a circle loop into loop, but insert the hook not into the front part of the loop, but into the wrong part of the loop - this will be a transition to the elastic band that holds the beret on the head;
  • knit the required number of rows loop into loop until the width of the rim is 3-4 cm;
  • finish knitting by fastening the thread and pull the working thread inside the beret.

Women's winter hat, crocheted with lush columns

A voluminous hat is appropriate on cold days. Cozy and elegant hats, knitted with a lush column, will suit any style of winter clothing. They hold their shape perfectly and are a stylish accessory that you can make yourself.

Yarn for this style should hold volume well, not wrinkle or lose lint. Otherwise, after several days of wear, the product will lose its appearance.

You will need:

  • yarn – 150-250 g (depending on whether you will make the pompom yourself);
  • hook number 4.

First, consider the nuances of the work:

  • the hat is knitted from the bottom up;
  • the multiplicity of loops for the pattern should be 5;
  • the work is carried out not only in a circle, but in different directions: after completing the circle in every second row, make a connecting column and continue working the third row in the opposite direction.

Operating procedure:

Many people believe that voluminous braids can only be knitted using knitting needles. But craftswomen prove the opposite and offer many voluminous crochet patterns.

To create three-dimensional patterns, the hook itself is very important. The size must be selected optimally and in accordance with the thickness of the yarn. Then the patterns will be uniform throughout the entire thickness, but without gaps. The thickness of the hook should be uniform along the entire length, since when making a pattern there can be 5-8 loops on the hook at the same time.

The patterns themselves are not that complicated.. It is enough to master the basic elements and learn the necessary symbols on the diagram.

Check out a few patterns made with voluminous knitting.

And here are finished products that can be created even from multi-colored leftover yarn.

With such a voluminous pattern you can knit even the most popular stocking cap or voluminous beret today.
